what are the names to watch for this year at 112#

Reply By falconfan --(173.84.28.232)--
I have no idea who's going to be where but I'd think Chishko would definitely be one to watch if he ends up at 112. A kid from up this way that will make noise is Kyle Bova.
Reply By 30sec_rideout --(98.21.71.75)--
What about Zacherl??
Reply By falconfan --(173.84.28.232)--
Yeah, like I said, I'm not sure where all the weights will shake out but Zacherl's for real. An absolute monster.
Reply By friar --(70.89.27.173)--
galasso/ moisey
Reply By chance5 --(141.158.208.116)--
Zacherl beat some real good high school kids at bad karma early season at 105 , but I see he has been wrestling up . Zacheal 112 would be my favorite as state champ and chisko 117.lot of other really talented wrestlers but these 2 stand out.
Reply By gs34115 --(69.40.189.57)--
yea no doubt zadherl is a monster he seemed big at 117 and chisko no doubt his weight surprised me this year must have had a serious growth spurt what about josh ortman anyone know what weight he has been at and how he is doing there
Reply By gs34115 --(69.40.189.57)--
zacherl that is
Reply By candcbrothers4 --(98.219.179.85)--
solomon could have made 112 but is hitting another growth spurt,so by the end of march he will be a freakishly strong 117.
Reply By tightwaist80 --(174.54.146.142)--
What areas are bova and galasso from??Who else looks strong here??
Reply By joesdad --(71.58.10.95)--
joe galasso is from area XI
Reply By falconfan --(173.84.28.232)--
Bova from Area V.
Reply By tightwaist80 --(174.54.146.142)--
Whos wrestling 112 from area X ??
Reply By backpoints --(71.162.15.42)--
How does Bova do with Christian Stone - In the past he has been the one to beat. Thought Christian to be doing very well this year- I am assuming Stone to be 112 also.
Reply By b51 --(98.21.88.185)--
stone is wrestling varisty 103 lb for clearfield
Reply By success111 --(24.101.118.107)--
what about burnham?
Reply By success111 --(24.101.118.107)--
or wickard?
Reply By strothers --(98.21.75.124)--
Um Willie Gruver from Redbank. He is very good beat Kyle Bova already this year
Reply By Raider1 --(98.21.17.250)--
Area V I think it will be Lightner and Stone. If they are at this weight. Karl is at 112 now at varsity, not sure he will want to hold this weight down for another month though. I think you will see him at the Varsity state tournament also. Could end up on the podium. Not sure what Stone will do either. I would think that he will not want to hold 107 either as he wrestled 112 most of the year at Varsity. I am sure you will also see him at varsity state also. I think he is going to win his region. Could/Should be on the podium at Varsity states. Not sure who would win between him an Karl though. I will say if they both wrestle JO's they will be high on the Podium at JO's.
Reply By backpoints --(71.162.15.43)--
Raider 1 -Is Stone wrestling 103/105 as stated above or is he wrestling 105/107? Also what weight will Chris Nuss wrestle at Areas? - I understand he is Centrals 112/114
Reply By anklepik --(174.54.146.142)--
Im predicting Harry from Area X....
Reply By gsms34 --(69.40.178.61)--
wow alot of tough wrestlers here this will def be one of the toughest brackets this year cant wait what about 117#
Reply By Raider1 --(98.21.79.254)--
Stone is on the varsity team an wrestling 103/105 right now. Started out the year at 112. I have now Idea what weight he will be at or even if he'll wrestle Jo's as he is the favorite to win AAA NW Regionals.
Reply By --(24.3.133.26)--
what about rodgers

Reply By pwrestler9 --(71.116.38.142)--
Sam Prenatt! wrestled under some good guess at prep this year
Reply By duboiswrestling --(71.60.34.150)--

Reply By chance5 --(141.158.212.28)--
Zacheal or Chisko toss up to win states or second at 117.Or might be on same side off bracket who knows what might happen.Didnt chisko wrestle returning state champ last year first match??
Reply By gsms34 --(69.40.178.61)--
any good matches in penn state around this weight
Reply By pawrestler1 --(67.171.92.129)--
what weight is ortman going for states?
Reply By xtremegrappler --(68.80.238.220)--
he went 124 this weekend at the (north) pocono qualifier
Reply By backpoints --(71.162.15.43)--
Area XI will have at least two studs coming out of this area at this weight. Colby Frank - Chad Wickard and Joe Galasso(not sure what weight he will be at) - Anyone of these boys could stand at the top.
Reply By tomb --(207.255.27.108)--
Zacheral and Chishko are no toss up! They have wrestled to many times to count and Zacheral comes up on the short end every time. Chishko stands alone!
Reply By 30sec_rideout --(98.21.23.56)--
I'm pretty sure I was at a tournament where I heard Zacherl beat Chisko at. Either way I know that they are all close matches to where it can go either way. Like 1 to 3 pt. matches. We will see in month or so...
Reply By Raider1 --(75.88.181.188)--
Brock has never beat Solomon. The last 3-4 times they have wrestled it has been with in one point. WJ Chichko won in Double overtime ride out (escaped)won 3-2. In Wildwood escape about halfway thru 3rd period won 1-0. Brock has closed the gap. One mistake by Chishko an Zacherl could win. Solomon has very good mat awareness an clock management. I am sure Chishko would agree Brock is on his heels but he is still just a little behind him. At Jo's might be the last time you ever see these 2 go at it. If they go at it then.
Reply By anklepik --(174.54.146.142)--
How about Freddy Stroker??What weight this year?
Reply By TATE --(71.121.74.238)--
Raider1, just curious about who you think Lightner is beating out at regions to qualify for states on varsity. I think he is without a doubt very talented and no disrespect but I just don't see this. I realize anything can happen however if this does, I see it as a big big upset.
Reply By falconfan --(173.84.28.232)--
I know that the rankings that are floating around out there are just one person's opinion but at least one of the sites that has NW regional rankings up has Karl ranked 3rd in the region at #112 in front of the Harborcreek kid. Anything can happen at these tournaments and I believe that the top 3 or 4 in the region at that weight are likely all pretty close.
Reply By Raider1 --(98.21.80.180)--
Lightner has already beaten the Harborcreek kid this year already, but that does not matter because Pier has dropped to 103. Now who do I think he is going to beat out at regions. Well I think he is going to beat Tyler Roberts out. Shane Rankin should win the weight Nate Dias should be runner up and I think Lightner will get the 3rd slot. All of his loses came early in the season at 119. He hasn't lost at 112 or since 12-22-09 an that was a 6-5 match to a kid that has only 1 lose. His other 2 loses are to Shane Rankin the 1st match of the year by score 13-6 and to Aaron Robert 11-9 his 2nd match of the year. They have not wrestled any common opponents realy but Tyler Roberts did lose to Mike Bauer 5-0. Bauer has lost 3 times to Nick Schreckengost. Lightner TF Schreckengost 16-1 three weeks ago. Also Bova has beaten Bauer and Schreckengost and Lightner beat Bova 13-9 2 weeks ago. To my understanding Bova hit a 5 point move at the end of the match when the score was 13-4. I think it looks pretty good for Karl.
Reply By Raider1 --(98.21.80.180)--
All an by the way it definitely would not be no big upset to see him at states.
Reply By papride --(67.20.180.62)--
I have seen Stroker wrestle a couple time this year. I think he wrestled at 100lbs for the CK kickoff. He is nasty with that cradle.
Reply By TATE --(71.121.74.191)--
I see your point, and yea Rankin should win but Dias seems to pull big moves off against him. I just didn't think Lightner was considered at the same level as those guys (Rankin, Dias)Roberts did lose a close match with Dias at the south section final. I guess it will be interesting and certainly not the upset that I was thinking.
Reply By pawrestler1 --(67.171.92.129)--
what about Gentry what weight is he?
Reply By coudyfan2 --(67.58.171.17)--
Kyle Bova hasn’t lost a match this year.
Reply By nobigdeal --(204.69.182.1)--
does bova wrestle high school varsity and if so, for whom?
Reply By coudyfan2 --(67.58.171.17)--
Junior High Coudersport
Reply By nobigdeal --(204.69.182.1)--
alot of really talented wrestlers don't wrestle junior high because of the lack of competition in some areas and they do open tournaments instead. undefeated in junior high is good but i don't believe chisko or zacherl wrestle junior high and junior high isn't high school varsity. i'm sure there will be some talented freshman stopping by for a last go at it at most weights. please, DO NOT take any of this to be disrespectful towards kyle as it is not meant to be. hearing that someone hadn't lost a match this year (considering the age bracket & possibly a hs wrestler) got my attention.
Reply By falconfan --(173.84.28.232)--
Gentry was at 117 at State College but I have no clue where he'll go for PJWs. Bova had a good match with Burnham at State College, I think he won 3-2.

Reply By Raider1 --(98.21.90.213)--
Brock wrestles on Brooksville Jr High team. He gos to a lot of open tournaments too, but just cause hes good doesn't mean he should skip out on Jr High. It's more than just about you when you get to Jr High and Varsity. Brock understands this and he was there helping his team win the Jr High District Tournament and watch his brother bring home the O.W award. They are in the room making everyone in the room better. Your only going to get better if you are surrounded by good people. So help make your teammates better. Brookville wrestlers don't really go other places to train they do it in our room. Now once in a while a few will go to Mr Waller's camp for a week or Brock gos to Bentley's for a few days, but our guys learn in our room an push each other to get better.
Reply By peppy3 --(98.235.168.248)--
Brookville must be doing something right. They had -or were very close- to having the most kids make jo states last year.
Reply By Raider1 --(98.21.90.213)--
We have had at least 17 for the past 4 years. This year could/should be between 15-19. I think we have also brought home at least 6 medals each of them years.
Reply By anklepik --(174.54.146.142)--

112# seems like it is gonna be crazy why so many tough kids here for states 17 seemed to be the tougher bracket throughout reg season and not hearing any talk about 107 at all think chisko and zacheral going 17 made kids drop to 12 or 12 just that strong of weight
Reply By backpoints --(71.162.15.43)--
Is there a true front runner here? Wickard maybe-Bova?
Reply By funkroller10 --(174.54.146.142)--
didnt Harry beat Wickard MAWA's? and he lost to bova 3-2 rideout overtime last year. so he could be right there also.
Reply By backpoints --(71.162.15.43)--
I have to think you can not even consider last years results to this year. Unless you are talking about mawas this year. If you see Wickard wrestle this year- There are not to many kids in his league. When they are this age - one year makes a heck of a differece in body physique as well.

What about Norris from sharon??
isnt he suspose to wrestle 112 at jo's??
Reply By ERB --(75.117.135.120)--
Jarray Norris from Sharon will be tough to beat. He placed 4th at Northwest regionals, and just missed going to states. I heard he will be at 112 from area VI.

I think it will be Norris and Obrien in the finals (but you never know.) If these two end up wrestling I think it will be a good match
