Reply By marswrestling --(72.22.12.35)-- I saw Luke at NH wrestling 10U 65. He won.
Reply By jtb --(72.92.216.76)-- Mckinney
Reply By numbers --(67.163.200.92)-- Ya, and I seen Reinsfelder from Shaler (sorry if I miss spelled it) beat Kemerer @ Shaler to go on and win it all. He has also beat McKinney two or three times in a row in a convincing fashion to know that the is the real deal. I am just saying DO NOT COUNT THIS KID OUT OF ANYTHING. He is a BEAST. One of the tuffest kids I have seen in a long time, he just keeps comming. I drove an hour last week just to watch him at NA duels. Let me tell you he is fun to watch Good luck to him in the sport.
Reply By marswrestling --(72.22.12.35)-- I can tell you that many of the names mentioned in this thread will be at Mars on Sunday.
10U 65 is looking very strong.
Seeding this bracket is gonna be tough.
Reply By 30secondRO --(64.12.117.10)-- What about some more names from the East?
Reply By 30secondRO --(64.12.117.10)-- Any takers?
Reply By good2go --(144.160.98.31)-- starting to see some sucking goin on - there were a number of kids who dropped from 70+ down to 65. way to early to rub your crystal balls.
Reply By Horseshoe21 --(71.173.186.151)-- Then there are those that have just been wrestling up all year and not sucking.
Reply By p.h.prouddad --(69.171.169.204)-- I've seen and watched Garrett, and Luke. Looks like wieghtwise they're solid 65 lbsers. Any given day they can play spioler for each other. By far the most hardnosed 65's I've see. Luke has the relects department on lock. Fast strong, and will put you on your back, very oppritunistic. Garrett doesnt stop wrestling, even when he's in trouble, looks better every match. Good luck to both of em' on "65 lbs. island.", and all the rest of the wrestlers.Seen Luke defeat J.Hubbard at N.H., raised alot of eyebrows with that win!Good Luck to all of em".
Reply By 30secondRO --(204.14.13.53)-- Just remember...There are "eyes" all over. People whom you wrestle with on a daily basis, coaches that weigh you in for a tournament and wrestlers that stand behind you at weigh-ins know what you've been weighing all season. To suggest that some wrestlers just "wrestle-up" all year may fit a few, but not the majority who are sucking down for PJW's. What it's essentially saying to your wrestler is "that they're not good enough to win in the weight class they've been wrestling in all year, and that in order to win, they have to drop a weight class". Ther's something wrong with that!
Reply By Liondad --(71.60.158.110)-- Badcat has been slimming down, he told me he is going to shave and get snatchsingle to make him up a birth certificate and he is thinking 10&U 65-pounds this year. He could be the favorite from the Hershey area this year.
Reply By Horseshoe21 --(72.95.56.78)-- Don't think I said "all" but some. Any tourny someone wants to stand behind my son and watch, no problem. They will see he has wrestled up all year. Weighs in consistently at 65.5. That is without doing anything. He wrestles 70. He will however, wrestle 65 at pjws unless he has a growth spurt then he will wrestle 70. Usually happens this time of year he starts to hit one. So we will see.
Reply By Horseshoe21 --(72.95.56.78)-- forgot to add that, it is not saying that he is not good enough to win at 70 but when you are weighing 65.5, you wrestle 70 for states, you automatically give up potentially 4.5 pounds, not a big deal until you meet up with a 75 pounder that sucks down to wrestle 70, you could potentially have a 9 pound difference. You can be the best and that is too much. That is better than 10% of your body weight so I disagree that to move down is telling them they are not good enough to win there. Depends on the circumstances.
Reply By boxer156 --(67.234.123.92)-- horseshoe21, if your son is who I think he is, he has an excellent chance at winning 65. He was tough at 70, I couldn't even imagine him at 65---which makes me glad my son is at 60!
Good luck.
Reply By Horseshoe21 --(71.173.242.223)-- Good luck to you as well Boxer. I just have to say good luck to all these young boys who have the strength, perserverance, heart and such courage each week as they step on the mat. I think sometimes we forget who much hard work they put into this sport and how much sweat and tears goes into doing this sport and doing it well. There is just such an exceptional level of talent out there for such young kids. I continue to be amazed at the ability of 10 year olds. I am very proud of my son, win or lose, he wrestles with pure heart and that's all we can ask for. Good luck to all the wrestlers this year at States. Hope to see you all there.
